During the three years Kathleen Series Produced Emmerdale, it had some of its highest profile storylines, which were recognised in 2006 by an RTS Award for Best Soap and by three consecutive BAFTA Nominations (2006-2009), and Soap Awards, Inside Soap Awards and TV Choice Awards.
The Emmerdale Online Channel was an incredible collaboration with Hoodlum and the first of its kind. It won the Broadcast Digital Channel Award in 2008 for “Best Use of Interactive” and the Horizon Interactive Gold Award 2008 for “Recognition for Excellence in Interactive Media Production”. It was also nominated for an International Interactive Emmy Award, RTS Award and BAFTA.
Kathleen also Produced Series 18 of Heartbeat, the popular prime time drama series for ITV. She Story Produced Eastenders, overseeing such highlights as the return of Sharon Watts and David Wicks.
Stints Story Consulting on Hollyoaks and River City included completely revamping both the storytelling and the in house story and script systems, to resounding success each time, doubling the ratings. After this Kathleen was an Exec in Drama Development at Lime Pictures for over two years, creating and developing returning series ideas for all the major broadcasters.
As well as freelance Development, in 2014 Kathleen became a Drama Consultant for MediaCorp in Singapore, part of the team setting up, creating and writing Singapore’s very first daily drama soap opera Tanglin for Channel 5. An initial run of 199 episodes was extended, and it is now Singapore’s longest running drama series.
Kathleen stayed with the team as Tanglin’s Supervising Producer - recruiting and training writers, running the story team whilst also devising and writing storylines. Tanglin is breaking new ground, captivating audiences and is the highest rated programme on its channel.
Kathleen is also a member of BAFTA and Women in Film and Television.
